EASTERN FRONT Pack EXPANSION for Memoir '44 GAME one-on-one 14th
Age: 14th Players: 2 Duration: 60 minsEASTERN FRONT Pack is an expansion for the game Memoir'44.
The Eastern Front is making up for this lack, as well as introducing new hexagons and a new army.
Before continuing reading I recommend reading the review on the Terrain Pack since in some places it is identical, material type, new rules (Minefields, Blitz, Engineers) and some considerations about mechanics, which has remained almost unchanged.
Surely there will be orphaned players not being able to command Russian units in the basic version of the game.
The second add-on contains an infantry box, T-34 tanks and ZIS-3 anti-tank artillery, as always plastic and well reproduced.
A decent selection of scenarios (for a total of 7/1 overlord) will take you to the heart of the fiercest clashes on the eastern front of WW2 (Stalingrad, Kursk...).
Not many new obstacles and hexagons mostly redesigned with a winter look for the occasion: ruins, trenches, villages, rivers.
Also for this expansion, flamboyant special units will grace the battles: in particular, the Sniper that shoots up to 5 hexagons with a die, the Tank-like Cavalry and the Finnish Special Forces that attack with 3 dice and can retreat 3 hexagons with a flag.
I wanted to focus on the big news in gameplay for those who play with the Soviets: the introduction of the Politico Commissioner (a figure that actually existed)./p>
In practice, by simulating the troops forced to fight, you will be forced to play your command card with an advance move over the opponent, putting it under a plastic chip.
In the next round the Russian will have to use it and immediately put it under another one in his place./p>
The only way to glissare that card command will be to play a Recon 1 and of course an Ambush or the Counter-Attack./p>
A nice limitation that makes the game more difficult and dramatic but, as you can guess, not always balanced properly."br />
