Hms Bounty SM102, 1:130 scale wooden model, by Corel Line.

In 1787 the Bounty, a small merchant vessel, sailed from Spithead to Tahiti to buy specimens of the bread tree and take them to British possessions in the East Indies.

The mission was never completed due to disagreements between Captain William Blight and his lieutenant, Fletcher Christian, which led to the revolt of half the crew on April 28, 1789 and causing the famous mutiny.

Captain Blight and his loyal sailors were put on a lifeboat that traveled 4,000 miles to the Dutch Indies where they were rescued and sent back home.

The mutineers settled on Pitcain Island.

With an expedition the British Navy managed many years later to capture and process almost all the mutineers but the boat Christian Fletcher knew nothing more.p>
