Wood was the favorite building material of the period, available to almost everyone, which gave the possibility to create beautiful structures throughout Europe. The stone was used to build fortifications or the foundations of buildings. In each village there were skilled carpenters, responsible for the construction of walls, windows, doors and furniture.
