ELICOTTERO LEONARDO FROM WIN wooden to be built WORKING Pathfinders 9th
One of the images Leonardo's most iconic, the "Air Life" (also known as a helicopter) shows Da Vinci's ingenuity, and indicates (as do so many of his designs!) his obsession with flying.
""""Apple-style-span""""""""""""""""">Although this idea will probably never rise from the ground, for basic technical reasons, it will give us a glimpse of Leonardo's different approach in considering the challenge of human-driven flight, and defines it, among the inventors of his time,
While it is often referred to as a helicopter, the premise of the elevator to get it up is more like archimedes screws than the rotors of a helicopter.
Our model uses one of the conictic screws drawn in its codes, creating a nice increase ( 2:1) of the speed of the engine shaft, which then spins more quickly, showing how this machine should have worked.
All pieces are precisely pre-cut and preforated.
The canopy structure and support can be removed.
Untreated natural wood.
Historical details reproduced faithfully.
Instructions for assembly inside, with interesting information on how the machine would work!
